The worship ministry at SHBC is more than
music. Our music group include a worship choir, children's groups,
instrumental ensembles, and vocal ensembles. Each one is an individual
tool that is incorporated into the various media used in the services to bring our members' focus on
the message for the hour.
We do not draw on any one particular style as
a resource for our music selections, but sensitivity to the message, combined
with the receptivity of the congregation usually guide our song choices. Our congregational worship
at the 10 and 11 o'clock services are contemporary and celebratory in nature, with congregational
participation planned and highly encouraged. The 9 o'clock service is traditional in nature. Our singing is performed using
both live and programmed accompaniments.
