Our Mission
The mission of the Stuart Heights Men’s Ministry is to engage the men in and around Stuart Heights, individually and collectively, to pursue and become more like Jesus Christ. This is done through the following means:

• Worship and Prayer
• Fellowship
• Small Group Bible Study
• Opportunities of Service
• Authentic Friendship / Transparency and Accountability
• Witnessing
• Discipleship / Mentoring
• Stewardship
• Leadership

“What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
2 Timothy 2:2

Our Vision

The vision of the Stuart Heights Men’s Ministry is to be men who live out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” Matthew 28:19

Our Purpose

Our Purpose: The purpose of the Stuart Heights Men’s Ministry is to serve men in and around Stuart Heights so that they choose maturity, develop godly character, and train disciple-makers

• Choose maturity (1 Corinthians 13:11)
• Develop godly character (Titus 2:2, 6)
• Train disciple-makers (2 Timothy 2:2)

Our core objectives are for men to be engaged in: biblical study, participation in church events, mentoring, spiritual leadership, identifying and responding to needs within the church and the community, bearing our brothers’ burdens, and being accountability partners. Won’t you join with us in this purpose?

Bible Study

Bible study is a crucial element for every man’s walk with Christ Jesus. If you would like to join an ongoing study and fellowship with other men while studying and discussing the Holy Bible, show up with your copy of the scriptures to any of the following meeting places and times:

  • Wednesdays 6 PM ‘Every Man A Warrior’ Volume 1 (beginning 8/9/17) Hixson & Soddy Daisy campus
  • Thursdays 7:30 AM Bojangle’s, Hixson Pike
  • Fridays 6 AM Karl’s Restaurant Hixson Pike

In addition to service and Bible study, our Men’s Ministry has launched several initiatives to minister to the men of this church. Several mentoring and discipling programs for one-on-one accountability and Godly, authentic manhood for our men are beginning to form along with an all-new series of Men’s Only Courses via our Stuart Heights University classes each quarter.

Service

Service is a vital part of our men’s ministry and there are many opportunities to serve. There are many areas in which you can find service opportunities within the church itself. Please inquire by emailing Brian Smith, our associate pastor.

  • Quarterly we plan service projects around the church after our monthly breakfast.
  • Many of our men help with the Neighborhood Helpers Volunteer Ministry assisting those less fortunate with needed home repairs and renovations.
  • We also reach out to the widows and single parents in the church for service needs as well as mentoring needs for their children.
Monthly Breakfast

All men ages 7 and older are encouraged to attend our monthly men’s breakfast the last Saturday of each month at the Hixson Campus at 8 AM. During this time, we eat, we laugh, and we learn more about God’s Word and His will through study and various guest speakers that address the breakfast. First time guests eat for free. Please let us know you’re planning to attend by emailing Chuck Harrison at CharlesLHarrison@gmail.com.

Our next men’s breakfast is Saturday, August 26th!.

Iron Sharpens Iron Annual Conference

Iron Sharpens Iron 2017 took place on February 25. Sixteen equipping seminars led by local and national ministry leaders on topics like:

  • Marriage
  • Fathering
  • Leadership
  • Grandfathering
  • Sexual Purity
  • Disciplemaking
  • Strategic Ministry to Men
  • Legacy
  • Soul Care
  • Prayer

Registration has closed for this event. The 2018 date will be announced in the coming weeks.

Contact Chris Braly for more information.
